Arrival

Arrival day is the Sunday before the course starts. We will provide you with all necessary information prior to your arrival. Students are responsible for their own travel arrangements. We are happy to assist you should you have any questions.

Heidelberg is centrally located and easy to reach.

Arrival by plane:

Take a flight to Frankfurt International Airport, Stuttgart Airport, Frankfurt Hahn Airport or Baden-Airpark (Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden), then take a train or bus to Heidelberg main station (Hauptbahnhof).

The most convenient way to get from Frankfurt International Airport to Heidelberg is to book an airport transfer with us. The fee is € 50 one way and € 94 return.

Arrival by train:

Take the train to Heidelberg main station (Hauptbahnhof), then take the tram R 5 (direction: Weinheim) and get off at Blumenthalstraße.

From Bismarckplatz, either take tram R 5 (direction: Weinheim) or No 23 (direction: Handschuhsheim) and get off at Blumenthalstraße.

Public transport in Heidelberg

Heidelberg has a very well developed public transport system which includes trains, local trains, trams and busses, as well as cycle paths.

Departure

Departure day is the Saturday after the course ends. Please discuss your departure time with your host family or with the person in charge of the student residence.
