Press release: International House makes their largest ever donation to charity at the annual Directors’ Conference.

The International House World Organisation (IHWO) Directors’ Conference took place in Dubai on 26th – 29th April 2014, with 115 delegates in attendance representing over 80 International House schools from more than 40 countries. The conference, which takes place annually, is an opportunity for school directors from International House schools around the globe to come together and learn from each other and exchange ideas. This year’s host school, IH Dubai, welcomed directors from across Europe, New Zealand, China and South America, to name a few places, with a full programme of internal and external speakers, workshops and social events.

A highlight of the conference programme was the IH Auction, where a record sum was raised for the charity War Child. This organisation works with children and vulnerable young people who have been victims of conflict, and supports them with education and counseling to be able to help put their lives back together. Clair Hattle, Director of IH Dubai explains: “We wanted to support an organization with similar values to International House. IH Dubai is honoured to support War Child’s humanitarian activities.”
