The course German online for university B2 online for studies in Germany allows students to expand their German language skills to successfully communicate at university level. Besides, participants will learn about the academic system and the everyday life of students in Germany, and practice vocabulary, reading comprehension, listening comprehension, writing, speaking and grammar. The topics of the course include:

  • Literature
  • Economics
  • Environment
  • Language
  • Brain
  • Society

In about 100 lectures you will practise reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar and vocabulary as well as study skills. Requirement for this course is the completed B1.2-level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Please complete our placement test if you are not sure about your level.

For students who wish to focus on the academic work at the university we recommend the course: German for University B2 online: research methods.

You can choose between three study options: Self-study, or assisted learning with tutor support by an experienced teacher, or ECTS-curriculum with tutor support and the opportunity to earn credits: You will study according to a specific curriculum and will receive 3 ECTS credits upon successful completion of the course.

The indicated starting dates below refer to the “assisted learning” module. If you choose the self-study module you can start the course at any time. Registration deadline for the “assisted learning” or  "ECTS-curriculum" module is 17 days before the course start.
