Are you looking for a summer camp in Germany? The summer camp Freiburg Kids & Teens takes place in our partner school in the centre of Freiburg, Germany. We offer courses for students aged 10 – 16. Besides German lessons, the summer camp in Germany includes an exciting leisure program. The variety of activities has something to offer for everyone: paddle boat rides on Lake Titisee, a trip to the theme park Europapark, barbecues, board games and much more. The supervisors make sure that all students feel comfortable and are never bored. During the afternoon activities, you have lots of opportunities to practise German.
Summer camp: Freiburg Kids & Teens (ages 10 – 16)
Freiburg is a middle-sized town: big enough to offer lots of things to see but still small enough to get around easily and not feel lost. The medieval city centre with the famous Bächle (gutters) is popular with visitors of all ages. Its location, close to France, Switzerland and several nature reserves, makes Freiburg even more attractive. Towns like Strasbourg, Basel and Constance can be easily reached for a day trip. The Black Forest and Vosges offer beautiful walks in nature.
The summer camp takes place in our partner school in Freiburg. Facilities include generous and light classrooms right in the historic centre, a common room, a terrace as well as a stand-up kitchen. The atmosphere in the school is very friendly and personal.
In total, there are 60 places in this camp.
The course has been designed for students aged 10 – 16. It includes 20 German lessons per week, 45 minutes each. We offer courses on three levels: elementary, intermediate and advanced. The maximum number of students per group is 15, which means that teachers can meet their students’ individual needs.
Host family:
The selected host families live in Freiburg or nearby, within 30 minutes of the school by public transport. A host family can be a couple or a single person, with or without children. You have your own bedroom and share the bathroom with other family members. Bedding will be provided but students should bring their own towels.
Youth hostel:
We also offer accommodation in two- to four-bed rooms in a youth hostel. Members of staff also live in the youth hostel and are there for you at all times. You spend the evenings with other students and supervisors, play games and do sports. Bedding will be provided but students should bring their own towels. For younger students, we recommend accommodation in the youth hostel where students are fully supervised.
Every afternoon, there is an activity in Freiburg or the surrounding area, e.g. a paddleboat ride, a scavenger hunt or walking.
The programme also includes a full day excursion on Saturdays, e.g. to the theme park Europapark, to Constance or Switzerland. Transport and entrance fees are included in the course fees.
The supervisors have lots of experience with children and teenagers and make sure that you are supervised outside lessons.
