The German Evening Course is designed for working participants, au-pairs, students, etc. who want to improve their German language skills on 3 evenings per week. Three 90 minutes-sessions do not take too much time and still enables participants to make good progress. The course covers all aspects of successful language learning and develops the students’ speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Project work and homework further enhance autonomous learning and the use of the German language outside the classroom. The course provides learners with ample opportunities to revise and to practise German through dialogues, discussions, role plays and interactive games.
Classes take place 3 times a week: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, or Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Participants should take the brief placement test prior to course start. That helps us to assess the language skills and facilitates the placement into the right course level.
Participants who have already German language skills can start any Monday; they will be integrated in one of the running classes. Only absolute beginners need to start at fixed dates, see below.
At the end of the course level participants will do an exam and a certificate can be issued if requested. From level B2 certificates are recognized as proof of the level required for admittance to the “Studienkolleg” at many German colleges and universities.
Lessons are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), with additional exercises to help you practise the German language.
