This summer we became an affiliate of International House World Organisation, well-known for quality and the highest standards in teaching of foreign languages; and one of the largest groups of language schools, with 150 schools in 50+ countries worldwide since 1953.

German Course 50 plus

Combine a German language course with travel in Germany's most beautiful region! This program is designed for open-minded and curious participants over 50 who would like to learn about German culture and lifestyle.
Course duration: 2 weeks
Instruction: 16 units/45 min per week
Schedule: Mon-Thu: 8:30 - 12h
Pre-requisite: A2; at least 100 hours of German
Participants: 8-12
Culture Program: afternoons/evenings, 2 day trips
Starting Dates 2011: April 4 / October 4 / November 28
Price: 794 €
Interactive language instruction is oriented towards the needs of the participants and their ability to communicate in daily life and while travelling. We arrange accommodation for you either in guest-families, or in a hotel close to the school.

Barbara gained her international background while working and living in the UK, Egypt, Hong Kong and Germany.
She attained her Master of Education at the University of Sheffield/UK and her Diploma as an interpreter of Arabic, Portuguese and English at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz/Germany. She earned her Doctorate in Education at the University of Hong Kong during summer 2010.
She worked for 6 years at the Goethe Institute in Hong Kong and for 8 years at the School of Modern Languages and Cultures at the University of Hong Kong. At the University of Hong Kong she taught German as a Foreign Language and was responsible for the development of new programs, for the design and approval of exams and for teacher training.
She has also worked in Cairo/Egypt as a translator and interpreter of German, English and Arabic.
She holds a Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from International House London.
Although she just started her job we already appreciate her friendly character and herpleasant, considerate personality. We are looking forward to working with her!
