Course description:
This course consists of two parts. The first part is an Intensive German Language Course of 25 lessons per week. The participants will join the level according to his/her knowledge. The second part consists of one University course, 3 hours of class per week in one University subject at the affiliated SIU Heidelberg Campus.
The language of instruction for the university course is English. Therefore, a minimum English language level is required.
Course duration:
One summer session, 7 weeks.
Purpose of the course:
The combination course is for participants who want to intensively learn the German language (at any language stage) and who also would like to take a University course for college credit. Prospective applicants for this combination course program must be able to provide proof a minimum level of English proficiency and have at least 12 years of secondary education or be a current university student.
The Collegium Palatinum offers participants the option to take university courses in many different subjects at the affiliated Schiller internationally University. These subjects include: art, business, computer science, economics, history, literature, marketing, management, mathematics, philosophy, political science and psychology.
Participants must first be accepted to the university to take part in the combination course and to receive credits for the university course.
