Participants are encouraged to actively take part in the cultural and recreational activities organized by the Collegium Palatinum.
Guided tours through the city of Heidelberg, as well as sightseeing trips to the Heidelberg Castle and the local museums are provided by Collegium Palatinum. Other events include concert or theatre venues, daytrips to such beautiful German cities as Bruchsal, Schwetzingen, Karlsruhe, Speyer in the Palatinate region, or Baden-Baden and Stuttgart. An orientation tour for all participants encourages students to get to know one another. Videotape viewings help improving listening comprehension.
For those who like sports, Heidelberg offers a wide variety: tennis and squash courts, swimming pools, and bodybuilding facilities are all within easy reach. Even horseback riding and golf are available just outside of Heidelberg.
